Easy No-Bake Recipes

Living the RV life gives you freedom to explore the world. Sometimes, that means you’re constantly on the go. Not always having time to bake a tasty treat doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice flavor and fun. Here are few quick and easy snacks you can grab-and-go that are sure to satisfy the whole family!

 

PUPPY CHOW 

  • • ½ cup peanut butter
  • • ½ cup margarine
  • • (1) 12-ounce bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • • 9 cups Rice Chex™ cereal (or Crispix™)
  • • Powdered sugar
  • 1.  Mix peanut butter, margarine, and chocolate chips
  • 2.  Heat in microwave until fully melted
  • 3.  Pour mixture over cereal
  • 4.  Toss until cereal is evenly coated
  • 5.  Add powdered sugar. Use as much as you want.
  • 6.  Mix until cereal is fully coated
TIP: For easier, no-mess coating, use a non-scented small trash bag to shake and coat the cereal.

PROTEIN ENERGY BALLS

  • • 1 cup rolled oats
  • • ½ cup peanut butter
  • • ½ cup ground flaxseed
  • • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • • 1/3 cup honey
  • • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1. Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix.
  • 2. Put bowl into refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes.
  • 3. Once chilled, hand-roll mixture into balls

CEREAL BARS*

  • • 2 cups Cheerios™
  • • 6 tablespoons almond butter**
  • • 6 tablespoons brown rice syrup**
  • 1. Line a small cookie sheet or baking tray with parchment paper
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl, add cereal and set aside.
  • 3. In a separate bowl, melt butter and syrup.
  • 4. Pour mixture over cereal and mix well. Pour onto baking tray and press firmly into place.
  • 5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until firm.

Servings: 6 bars

OPTIONS: – You can also use peanut butter or sunflower seed butter. – Maple syrup or agave nectar can be substituted for rice syrup.

VEGGIE PIZZA PINWHEELS*

  • • (6) 8″ flour tortillas
  • • ¾ cup broccoli (chopped fine)
  • • ¾ cup cauliflower (chopped fine)
  • • ¾ cup carrots (chopped fine)
  • • ½ red pepper (chopped fine)
  • • (1) 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • • 1 cup sour cream
  • • (1) 1-ounce package ranch dressing mix

You can use any vegetables you wish!

  • 1. Chop up your vegetables fine and combine in a large bowl. Mix.
  • 2. In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch mix until smooth.
  • 3. Spread 1/3 cup of cream mixture onto each tortilla. Sprinkle with veggie mixture.
  • 4. Roll up each tortilla and wrap in Saran wrap. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • 5. Once chilled, cut into ½”-1″ slices and serve

CHEX MIX (Microwave Version)

  • • 2 cups Corn Chex™ cereal
  • • 2 cups Rice Chex™ cereal
  • • 2 cups Cheerios™
  • • ½ cup peanuts
  • • 1 ½ cup pretzels
  • • 1 ½ cup Gardetto’s™ rye chips
  • • 1 ½ Cheez-It® chips
  • • 2 cups Bugles™
  • • 2 cups Honeycomb® cereal
  • • 1 stick butter
  • • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • • 1 ½ teaspoons seasoning salt
  • • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • • ½ teaspoon onion powder

You may add any extra ingredients you wish!

  • 1. In a large, non-scented trash bag, mix all dry ingredients.
  • 2. In a small bowl, microwave butter until melted.
  • 3. Stir in seasonings and Worcestershire sauce.
  • 4. Pour mixture over dry ingredients in bag. Shake the bag until dry ingredients are evenly coated.
  • 5. Pour contents into large microwavable bowl*
  • 6. Microwave uncovered on High for 2 minutes. Stir
  • 7. Microwave uncovered on High for 2 minutes. Stir
  • 8. Microwave uncovered on High for 2 minutes. Stir
  • 9. Let it cool. Store in an air-tight container.

Depending on the size of microwave, you may have to separate contents into two bowls.
